Students who complete the Beginner level will understand musical ideas and processes, such as how to perform live with a live band or record basic guitar parts to compose entry-level songs.

  • Chords: basic open chords (major/seventh) / barre chords and dangling chords / electric chords
  • Scale: major scale, minor scale, pentatonic scale and blues . scale
  • Arpeggios: major arpeggios and minor arpeggios
  • Plucking: how to strum a basic rhythmic pattern and alternate between different plucks
  • Guitar Techniques: Finger Exercises (Alternatives) and Hammer Pull/Pull
  • Performance/Style: general chord progression, riff/intro to some popular tunes (mix of Hindi and rock/pop), accompaniment to some popular rock style songs/ Bollywood and an introduction to basic solo concepts
After completing the Beginner level (in 6-8 months), students can choose one of the following learning paths: Fingerstyle Guitar (Pop/Classical, Blues Guitar, and Rock/Metal)
